National Nutrition Month

was a success!

This year, to celebrate we held farmers market tastings at our elementary schools. Child Nutrition staff handed out samples of a rainbow of fruits and vegetables for students to taste. Eating a variety of colors in your diet can enhance the variety and types of vitamins and other nutrients you eat.

The Child Nutrition Program is offering FREE breakfast for ALL school sites for the breakfast meal that is served before school starts!

Breakfast times vary by site...please check with your school to ensure your student arrives on time for their free breakfast!

Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand.

The Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.
